Pulses are the cornerstone of Indian food. They’re a health powerhouse and are known to reduce cholesterol and contain lots of magnesium and folate, which are both good for heart-health. They are also a low GI food - meaning that they are more slowly digested and, thereby, cause a slower and lower rise in blood glucose. But that is not why we love them, to us Indians, they are liquid comfort!


Cooking lentils and beans can be time-consuming and laborious so we have taken the hard work out of it. We’ve soaked, spiced and cooked all of the ingredients for you, so you can have dinner on the table in less than 5 minutes. Each daal packet consists of three pouches – a pouch of dry spices tailored to each daal, the tarka sauce and the pre-cooked pulses.

Lentils and chickpeas are great as a side dish or main dish but also make amazing kedgeree, filling or even crispy cakes. This is the best way of being healthy.
